Anchor


 
 
The word anchor in this project is used to mean that a feature either directly or indirectly anchors another feature. A clone is called an anchor if it anchors a contig and it is also anchored by a locus. A locus is called an anchor if it anchors a clone.

Graphical examples of anchor and anchored are here. Note: in the image (left) loci are at the top and contigs are at the bottom. In the current GBrowse, loci are at the bottom and contigs are at the top.
