Creation of the Soybean Physical Map, Build Four

Abstract

 

The soybean plant has been selected for advanced study and analysis. Efforts have been underway for several years to create genetic and physical maps for this agronomically important crop. A fourth version of the physical map is reported herein. This version incorporates molecular markers, contig informatics, clone contamination checks and conservative contig creation procedures. Upon completion, build four consists of 45130 clones in 2854 contigs. Over 400 molecular markers are reported in the clone set as a whole, with 360 in contigs.
